THE BILBERRIES BLUE YOUTH STEWARDSHIP PROGRAMME aims to bring together the next generation of Sustainability Stewards, and to transform their hopes and dreams into concrete manifestation of human dignity. The programme will be a platform to link the youths of different communities to each other and to introduce to them both the concept and practice of sustainable entrepreneurism.

In short, the programme will kickstart these youths on their own journey of economic empowerment.  They will have the right to choose which of the 12 different archetypal enterprise domains that they would like to explore – perhaps they will create an entirely new and different enterprise domain!

Talk is cheap.  And action speaks louder than words.

So, we shall act as follows:

We shall identify and select suitable youths from diverse backgrounds – including nationalities – whilst ensuring a 50-50 gender mix. We shall assign selected Bilberries Blue mentors who are domain practitioners and/or subject matter experts in the respective enterprise domain.

We shall adopt a hybrid approach (webinar) to the programme especially given the difficulties we face at present living in the shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The participants who are able to meet physically (while of course strictly observing safe social distancing practices et al) will do so, while other participants who are separated through geographical realities will still be able to bridge the distances through video-calls.

For the inaugural programme, we aim to journey with about 100 youth participants and to host the following webinars and pedagogical sharing:

1 month introduction – once a week

18 months sustainable entrepreneurism – once a month

Portfolio of 7 pedagogical documentation per participant

Once travel restrictions are lifted in the post-pandemic recovery period, we also plan to bring the youths to the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, staying at Fitzwilliam College, as part of our “journey of possibilities”.
