Dr Alex Khoo Peng Chuan is a senior paediatrician and child neurologist with extensive experience in managing and treating children with complex paediatric as well as neurological disorders since 2006. He has extensive experience both in Malaysia as well as overseas having worked in numerous government and university hospitals and being part of local as well as international paediatric and neurological associations.

He believes that medicine is about craftsmanship and the how matters more than the what. Making a medical diagnosis is scientific and algorithmic. A machine and a computer can make a diagnosis of a disease, but it’s the human doctor’s touch obtained from experience and knowledge gained in tandem with the manner in which a doctor’s art and skill is applied that ultimately determines outcome. Paediatrics as well as child neurology is a science of growth and development. Good medicine comes from the practice of gentle mindfulness and carefulness to ensure that the journey towards a healthy adulthood is safe , meaningful and treasured for life.

Dr Khoo is an Honorary Fellow, TY Nelson Department of Neurology of Children’s Hospital at Westmead Sydney and  is awarded a  Fellowship in Paediatric Neurology, (Sydney), Ministry of Health Malaysia 2010. He is also an academician and was induced into the Academy of Medicine Malaysia ( AM ) .He is a Member of Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRPCH ), UK 2006 and holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS ) from MAHE , INDIA 1999.

He was awarded the state medal of Paduka Mahkota Perak ( PMP ) by the Sultan of Perak in 2015 for his work in child neurology as well as services for the state of Perak.
