D. CIRCULAR FOOD SYSTEM & ZERO WASTE
D/2 Zero Waste

Ms Peisee Hwang, IpohRefill
What is Zero Waste?

Zero Waste is more than a slogan — it’s a practical community movement. Through IpohRefill, we promote:

• Refill culture — bringing your own containers for cleaning and personal-care products to cut single-use plastic.

• Composting — turning kitchen scraps into natural fertilizer through Bokashi or FoodCycler systems.

• Recycling and reuse — sorting clean dry recyclables and creatively upcycling waste.

• Community education — teaching schools, residents, and organizations how small habits add up to major environmental impact.
